FAQs - Our Relationship to Albion Community Ambulance

 
Albion Community Ambulance (ACA) is owned and operated by Jackson Community Ambulance.  In late 1998, Albion Area Ambulance Service had serious financial difficulties.  JCA was brought in by AAAS Board of Directors and Trillium Hospital.  All parties agreed that it would be impossible for AAAS to continue to operate independently, and JCA was asked to begin operations on January 1, 1999.

ACA now operates two paramedic ambulances from a station on the grounds of Trillium Hospital in Albion.  A local ambulance advisory committee meets several times each year to review local ambulance operations and give advice on improving services to the community.
