Worden named to HVA Board...

 

The HVA Board of Trustees announced the appointment of John Worden, the retired Chief of Jackson County's Summit Township Fire Department to the Huron Valley Ambulance Board of Trustees.  Worden has been appointed to 3-year terms on the Huron Valley Board.  Huron Valley Ambulance is a non-profit, regional emergency medical service provider and is the parent organization of JCA in partnership with the Foote Health System.

Worden replaces Georgia Fojtasek, President and CEO of Foote Health System in Jackson, who recently completed a six hear term on the HVA Board.  Worden served for 24 years as the chief of the Summit department, before retiring in 1997.  He continues to serve the Township as their zoning administrator.

Worden joins 11 other community leaders in the governance of Huron Valley Ambulance:  William Barsan, Professor and Section Head of Emergency Medicine, University of Michigan Health System serves as Chair of the HVA Board.  Richard Lundy, a Dexter community leader, serves as Vice Chair and George Cress, Chairman of United Bank and Trust - Washtenaw, serves as Secretary-Treasurer.  Other Trustees include Dale Berry, President of HVA; Joseph Dulin, Principal of Roberto Clemente High School in Ann Arbor; Kathleen Griffiths, President and CEO of Chelsea Community Hospital; Jude Huetteman, a retired Ann Arbor health care advocate; Thomas Manchester, Ypsilanti attorney; Juanita Reid, Vice President for Government Affairs, Eastern Michigan University; Patrick Sharp, Plymouth Township resident and retired Assistant Treasurer of the Ford Motor Company; and William Wise, Program Coordinator for Criminal Justice Programs at Siena Heights University in Adrian.
